Hi, I’m Darin Shuler.
I am the author/illustrator of two early reader graphic novel published by Chronicle books: “Dog & Hat and the Lost Polka Dots", and "Dog & Hat and the Lunar Eclipse Picnic".
Dog & Hat and the Lost Polka Dots was a JLG Gold Standard Selection, It was Included in Bologna Children’s Book Fair’s BRAW Amazing Bookshelf display and celebrated as one of the 20 best debut works from the international publishing world.)
I’ve been a member of the SCBWI since 2014, and have self-published comics and zines, including the Xeric Award-winning series Castle & Wood, for over 20 years. I have led drawing and comics workshops for kids from Seattle to Gambia. I lives In Washington state with my partner, two daughters, Mother In law, and some cats.
